Essay thinking
I am currently trying to create and essay plan for the question "To what extent was Julius Caesar responsible for the fall of the Roman Republic".
At the moment I am thinking about what Caesar did during his life to give himself more and more power during the wars, as well as in his death as he made Octavian his heir who then became the first emperor offically ending the Roman Republic. I will also however have to consider how Caesar was offered a crown and turned it down and how Octavian becoming emperor was not entirely his fault as others gave him the honor.
